19 of us who belong to the DC Chapter of the Chaplain Regimental Association gathered on Thursday (Sept 28) at Anthony’s Restaurant in Falls Church for our fall get together. We noted that two of our own were gathered into their heavenly rest very recently, Connie Ice, wife of Wayne Ice Sr, and SFC (Ret) Ellen Conley. We were blessed to have both Wayne Ice Sr and Wayne Ice Jr with us at the luncheon.
Gary Dahl gave an update on the next Regimental “reunion” to be held in Columbia, SC, Oct 22-25, 2024. Registration will begin early in 2024. Donna Weddle and Dennis Madtes both spoke about an opportunity to grow our assets due to a generous promise (anonymous) to match up to $5000. We will meet next on January 18, 2024 at Anthony’s, and have also scheduled a gathering on April 25th.
May God’s tender mercies attend the Ice and Conley families as they mourn.
