Connie Alice (Smith) Ice, 64 of Springfield, VA, died on Saturday, 12, 2023 at Carlin Springs Health and Rehabilitation, Arlington, VA. Connie was born on May 14, 1959 in Bellaire, OH. She was the daughter of the late REV James H. and Edith (Wildman) Smith. Connie worked for the Army Airforce Exchange Services and later at Fairfax Public Schools. Many will remember Connie for her love of Jesus, Family, serving in the Nursery, and knitting.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by Diane Lynn Smith.
Connie is survived by her husband, SFC (Retired USA) Wayne F. Ice Sr, her son, Wayne F. Ice Jr, 4 sisters, Janet Janos, Bridgeport, Ohio, Patrica Crawford of Zions Crossroads, Virginia, Debra Heatherington also of Zions Crossroads, Virginia, Gloria Zanes of Tiltonville, Ohio. Five brothers, James Smith of Dillwyn, Virginia, Dale Smith, Columbus, Ohio, Donald Smith of Rayland, Ohio, Ray Smith of Bellaire, Ohio, Tim Smith of Nappane, Indiana.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV. Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
A Memorial Service will be held 23 August 2023 at 1000 AM at Calvary Church, 8220 Little River Turnpike, Annadale, VA.
