Chaplain (Colonel-Rt) John W. Brinsfield, Jr., was an Army chaplain from 1969 to 2002. He was the Army Chaplain Corps Historian at the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School from 2002-2011. A native of Atlanta, Chaplain Brinsfield is a retired member of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has degrees from Vanderbilt, Yale, Emory and Drew Universities and taught military history for 14 years at such institutions as the United States Military Academy, the U.S. Army War College, the U.S. Army Chaplain School, and Wesley Theological Seminary. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, Chaplain Brinsfield has authored or co-authored ten books and numerous journal and newspaper articles. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Ringgold, GA.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY AWAITS!
The United States Army Chaplain Corps Regimental Association (USACCRA) is proud to announce its new scholarship program designed to support the educational goals of military families.
Who is eligible?
Any person whose sponsor is a spouse, parent, legal guardian, or grandparent who:
- Is active-duty military, active reservist in drill status, National Guard, or an honorably discharged veteran.
- Is/was a Chaplain, Chaplain Assistant/Religious Affairs Specialist, Director of Religious Education, or Department of the Army Civilian serving in a position with the US Army Chaplain Corps.
- Is a current member or USACCRA existing chapters worldwide.
What are the benefits?

How to apply:

- Submit a completed application, including a cover letter, verification of sponsor status, proof of relationship with sponsor, acceptance into an educational program, academic transcript, and two letters of recommendation.

- The scholarship can be used for a variety of educational programs, including community college, college, university, military/service academy, or trade school.
