| I retired as State Chaplain for the Oklahoma National Guard in 2007 with over 32 years of active and guard service. Two years later I retired as Executive Director of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks based in Springfield, Missouri. This past April Julie and I returned to Oklahoma. We are now members of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where Julie loves singing in the choir. She also sings in the Oklahoma City Chorus. I continue to work as a volunteer with the Moral Injury Institute. MII serves veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and others suffering from trauma-related moral injury.
