David Brock writes:  I have been working with Veterans Groups since I retired. I was the National Chaplain for the US Army Ranger Association for two years, and am the Chaplain for my local chapter of Special Forces Association. I helped start an organization at Bethany Lutheran called Operation One Nation to help local military, their families, and veterans who have fallen through the cracks. It deals with helping them on many levels, from sending the normal CARE packages to troops to assisting other helping organizations like Project Sanctuary (who give military families a free four-day retreat with counselors) and Centus Counseling Center (for free counseling) as well as setting up a network of retired Chaplains and Pastors for Pastoral Care for these families.
