BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Master Sergeant (Retired) Gerald Lamont Holliday served the nation for twenty-four years on active military duty as an Army Chaplain Assistant.  During his career, his range of duties extended from Staff Office Administrator, Chapel Tithes and Offerings Fund Clerk, Fund Manager, Chaplaincy Resources Manager, Brigade and Division Chaplain Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Chief Training Administrator/Senior Training Instructor, and culminated with his selection and assignment as the Proponent Policy Development and Training Noncommissioned Officer for the Office of the Chief of Chaplains, Headquarters, Department of the Army.

Gerald obtained a vast array of skill sets during his Army career and while working at the executive levels of leadership throughout the agency.  He is dedicated and loyal to the organization he serves and firmly believes in providing quality support to all; regardless of status, race, creed or religion.  These qualities afforded him to be selected to his current position as the Senior Program Manager/Project Manager for the Army Chapel Tithes and Offering Fund transition to centralized accounting.  This transition to centralized accounting provides greater accountability and transparency for over $25 million dollars of religious contributions and will benefit the Chaplain Corps for decades to come.

Gerald considers himself a native Floridian.  He currently resides in Stafford, Virginia with his bride of 22 years, Mrs. Hope Holliday.  They have one son, Dylan Holliday, who is continuing his education at Virginia Tech.

 The USACCRA Nominating Committee is working the slate of officers and directors at large for the upcoming election.  The Committee wants to give a big THANK YOU to the members who have volunteered to serve.  Now it is a matter of making sure we have at least one person matched to each position come election time.  There are twelve positions to fill which begin serving in January 2014.  In order to prevent the entire Board of Directors from changing at once, four positions will serve one year, four two years and four three years.  Eventually, all terms of office will be three years.  The Nomination Committee welcomes any input.  If you have a suggestion or just want more information, please email contact@chaplainregiment.org.

ARTICLE VI

Section 1    The elected Officers shall be Executive Committee of the Board of   Directors.

Section 2    The officers shall be a President, a First Vice President, a Second Vice President, a Third Vice President, a Treasurer, and a Secretary.  The terms of office shall adjust to THREE years after 2015 as follows.

A)     A President shall be elected in 2013 to serve a two year term. In the 2015 and subsequent elections the President term shall be for three years.

B)      A 1st Vice President shall be elected in 2013 voting to serve for a one year term and in the 2014 and subsequent elections the term shall be for three years.

C)      A 2md Vice President shall be elected in 2013 voting to serve for a one year term and in the 2014 and subsequent elections the term shall be for three years.

D)     A 3rd Vice President shall be elected in 2013 voting to serve a two year term. In the 2015 and subsequent elections the term shall be for three years.

E)      A Secretary shall be elected in 2013 voting to serve for a three year term and in the 2016and subsequent elections the term shall be for three years.

F)      A Treasurer shall be elected in 2013 voting to serve for a three year term and in the 2016and subsequent elections the term shall be for three years.

G)     Six At Large Voting positions shall be elected in the 2013 election; two   positions shall be elected for one year; two positions shall be elected for two years; two positions shall be elected for three years. After the 2015 elections two at large positions will be elected each year for a three year position.

H)     The Chief of Chaplains shall appoint the Honorary Colonel and Sergeant Major of the Regiment to the United States Army Chaplain Corps Regimental Association Board of Directors.

I)        The Past President of the United States Army Chaplain Corps Regimental Association shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors.

Section 3    At least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the end of the calendar year, the President shall appoint a nominating committee comprised of at least five members in good standing of the Association.  

Section 4   Upon being informed of the committee appointment, the committee shall convene in private and consider possible nominations and may interview any active member they so choose.

Section 5   Said committee shall make the nominating report to the Board of Directors and the Publicity and Communications Committee shall inform the active membership of the Association at least sixty (60) days prior to the end of the calendar year requiring a vote to fulfill offices.   The Nominating Committee will submit a slate of candidates from the members in good standing. The recommended list will be approved by the Board of Directors and electronically posted to the USACCRA members. Any member in good standing may choose to run for any position or nominate a member in good standing for any position on the ballot.

Section 6   The President shall appoint an independent party with the consent and approval of a simple majority of the Officers and Directors of the Board who shall have the responsibility to receive and tabulate the results of the election of Officers and to report the results of said election to the Board of Directors and members of the Association.

Section 7   The active members of this Association in good standing will vote electronically.  Each office shall be voted on separately and be filled by any candidate receiving a majority vote.
